We use no herbicides on our plants. All of our products are not derived from or contain any Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Our plants are hand-weeded. Our greenhouse sprays are Azitin (a Neem-oil derivative), and Botaniguard (a baccillus - a naturally occurring bacteria). Our spray for the orchard, when necessary, is Surround (clay-based) and copper hydroxide for prunus and grapes. Our spray schedule is from observation and prevention. We do not spray blindly on a routine schedule, but cultivate our plants to harmonize with nature.

We have been paying a living wage for over 1 year. You may see some price changes and you will notice the new pricing on shipping. We have found to stay competitive we needed to make a few adjustments. We are sorry for any inconvenience or confusion this may cause. If the ship price is out of line, we will refund, we want to stay fair.

You can buy trees, shrubs, herbs, and an array of garden plants on this site or pickup directly from our fruit tree and garden nursery.  When you buy plants from Edible Landscaping, potted plants will be shipped directly to you, avoiding the shock that can occur from bare root plants. We ship year round and grow our plants naturally without herbicides or harsh chemicals. Many of our plants are florist grade and make great gifts. The live plants you receive from us will be in the absolute best condition of any plants online! If you wish to pick up your order, make a note in the comments field of the order and we'll take off the ship cost when we process the order.

Hi, I just wanted to write to tell you  how impressed I am with the quality of the plants I received from you last week. I don't usually do this (OK, pretty much never), but it was obvious that these plants were incredibly well cared for during the start-up phase. I ordered Lingonberries and was expecting a couple of sticks in a bag of dirt, like the blueberry bushes for sale at the big box hardware stores. What I received were two beautiful, small and perfect shrubs. The leaves were shiny and there was no breakage of any of the branches, so I know the packing was very carefully done. The roots were in great shape and not at all root bound and there were even flowers on one plant, which I hadn't expected for at least a year. Although I don't expect these plants to do anything this first year but get established and adjusted to their new environment, I am very hopeful that I will be able to keep them healthy, which is so much easier when you start with a healthy plant to begin with. I don't have a lot of garden space for fruit-bearing shrubs and trees, but you will be the first place I check when I do need new plants of this sort. Thank You.

I just visited last weekend for the Persimmon Festival and really enjoyed seeing your orchard and taking the tour of the Persimmon trees (there's a Persimmon Tree Lane in my neighborhood in Maryland but I don't think we have any persimmon trees in the neighborhood).  I also wanted to thank George for the tour of the medicinal plants.  I hope to have a chance to come back someday and buy some trees when I have a place to put them.  I think what you are doing is wonderful and maybe if we have more companies like Edible Landscapes the world will become a better place.
